Product UX/UI Designer

The role

As our Product UX/UI Designer, you will shape how accountants experience Wally. You design the flows, screens and interactions through which accountants work with their AI colleague, on web and mobile. From day one, you will play an important role in Wally's product and design direction.

• ·Ownership: You take responsibility for the user experience, from research to the shipped feature.
• ·Designing for AI: You make AI understandable and trustworthy, with clear answers, sources and control for the user.
• ·Close collaboration: You work closely with our founders and engineers on what we build and why.

• ·AI-first mindset: You use AI throughout your design process to research, prototype and test faster.

Your responsibilities

Your main goal is to make Wally simple, clear and pleasant to use for accountants.

• ·Design end-to-end flows: Turn problems into user flows, wireframes and polished interfaces.
• ·Talk to users: Interview accountants, run usability tests and turn insights into improvements.
• ·Prototype quickly: Build interactive prototypes, with or without code, to validate ideas early.
• ·Design AI interactions: Shape conversations, suggestions, actions and feedback in an AI product.
• ·Build the design system: Create and maintain components, patterns and guidelines in Figma.
• ·Work with engineering: Deliver clear specifications and follow the build until the details are right.
• ·Measure impact: Use product data and feedback to see what works and what needs to change.
• ·Raise the bar: Bring consistency and quality to the product, the onboarding and other key touchpoints.

Your profile

We value your skills and mindset more than a specific degree.

• ·You have several years of experience as a product, UX or UI designer for digital products.
• ·You have a strong portfolio that shows both your process and your finished visual work.
• ·You master Figma and know how to build and maintain a design system.
• ·You are comfortable with user research and usability testing.
• ·You can turn complex information into clear, calm interfaces.
• ·You think in products, not just screens, and understand the trade-offs between users, business and technology.
• ·You work independently and take responsibility from idea to release.
• ·You use AI tools effectively in your design work and assess the results critically.
• ·You speak fluent Dutch and are comfortable in English.
• ·Experience with B2B SaaS, AI products, fintech or accountancy is a plus, as is basic knowledge of HTML, CSS or React.

You will work with tools that help us build Wally quickly and carefully:

• ·Design: Figma, design systems and interactive prototyping.
• ·AI-assisted design: Claude, GPT, Gemini and other advanced models for research, copy and prototyping.
• ·Product insights: PostHog, user feedback and conversations with customers.
• ·Collaboration: Linear, GitHub and short feedback loops with engineering.
